Hunter were formed in the summer of 79 and had a different sound to the mainly new wave music of the era, centering mainly around driving bass riffs and choppy guitar.

Most of the material they played was written by the band.

The original line up consisted of Jon Amour – Vocals, Ian Hargreaves- Bass Guitar & Backing Vocals
And brothers Hugh Lewis – Drums & Clive Lewis – Rhythm Guitar.

They rehearsed extensively and made their live debut on 22nd December 1979 supporting the Pumphouse Gang at Lakeside Inn.

Not long after Hugh Lewis departed the band to join Cassie and Chris Lines took his place on the drums.

They did some more live gigs & went into Tim Muncasters 4 track recording studio in East Cowes, their music on this site comes from those sessions.

A short while after recording these songs the band split up
